Today's Wisdom

Those who do not pass from the experience of the cross to the truth of the resurrection condemn themselves to despair! For we cannot encounter God without first crucifying our narrow notions of a god who reflects only our own understanding of omnipotence and power

The Great Evils of Modernity

In the early morning of August 26, 2015 we watched in horror a video of murder of two young adults: Alison Parker a TV reporter;  and Adam Ward her cameraman. The murderer Bryce Williams published his video on Twitter and Facebook social media before killing himself in a race by the police to catch him. Here are three lives lost; all of them had dreams but one was depressed as he was fired from the same TV station a few months earlier. To avenge himself, he killed his colleagues. This real story can be found here on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/26/us/alison-parker-adam-ward-wdbj-profile/ but it raises tons of questions about millions of unwanted lives lost every year in abortion alone. The same democracies that claim they protect life are the ones who "legally" permit the killing of their own unwanted babies under the radical feminists claim that a pregnant woman fully owns her body. Therefore, she who carries life in her womb has the right to choose to abort the offspring!
This dark practice is found in Communist China too as the state's policy limits the number of children to two per family. Since boys are the preferred gender in such traditional society, girls are abandoned early on for wild animals. The United Nations continues to promote the myth of overpopulation in its programs of planned parenthood directed at the poor countries while rich businesses in the United States throw away the extra grains produced in the fields to keep the selling prices high.
Dr. Alfred Tomatis and his team found evidence that the child in the womb of his mother listens to her talks (Audio-Psycho-Phonology) which implies that the child in the womb is not only living but is also communicating with the outside world (Cf. Raymund Schwager, S.J.; "Banished from Eden..."; 2006).

The more we learn about human history the more we discover how the will to power built and destroyed nations and civilizations. As always humans are eager to protect their own families. Cooperation with other tribes offers an opportunity for peace. Europe has not seen a great war since World War II but this peace does not mask attempts to destroy "the other" for larger dominion.

In a recent lecture at Michigan University on the history of the Internet, scientists recalled that the computer was not born in the 1960s as originally thought but in the Nazi's headquarters in 1939 for communicating with the troops invading Poland. The desire to build the "super" Aryan race of Germans following Nietzsche's imaginative "superman" galvanized an entire people but what sacrifice did the Germans pay? Destruction of Germany with much suffering in Poland, England and other nations! An orchestrated plan by the Allied nations rebuilt Germany after the end of the War. Today the offspring of this first computer, the Internet, is spread all over the world. With the great work of  virtually spreading knowledge and bringing people together, there is nevertheless an expanding network of "politically-correct" ones and the "Gurus" of every belief supported by the on-line marketing media and publishing industries.

In its August 2015 issue, Scientific American published an article by Curtis W. Marean, Professor at the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University. In the article, Professor Marean explains how starting sometime after 70,000 years ago, Homo Sapiens left Africa to start its spread across the globe.

In 2015, TED Global hosted Jamie Bartlett who lectured on the so-called Dark-Net; a parallel Internet that connects people across the globe who deal in illicit activities anonymously (See http://www.ted.com/talks/jamie_bartlett_how_the_mysterious_dark_net_is_going_mainstream). Jamie predicted Dark-Net to be the future of the Internet!

Today false prophets found the entire globe to preach their own "sacred" doctrines which have almost destroyed the entire Arab nations and threaten humanity with their ancient "wolves" but as throughout history Christ warns his sheep "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?" (Matthew 7: 15-16)

[Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice." Pilate said to him, "What is truth?"] (John 18:37-38). The conversation between Pilate and Jesus ends with the crucifixion of Jesus because Jesus disturbs Pilate and challenges his power. Jesus speaks to conscience which is hidden otherwise most people will be put to shame.
